To celebrate the release of Mama in Australia, Silly Mummy blog has partnered with Universal Pictures to offer you the chance to win a double in-season pass to this new horror flick.

A Little About the Movie

Mama, produced by Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Torostars Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones). The movie topped the Box Office with US$28.1 million during the first three days of its release in America and is expected to be a hit over here.

We enter the haunted world of two little girls, sisters Victoria and Lilly (Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nélisse), who disappeared without a trace into the woods on the very day that their parents are killed. Then five years down the track they are found alive, thanks to a search led by their uncle, Lucas (Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Chastain). The sisters are brought back to the city to live with them and that’s when sh*t start happening. Something or someone visits the girls and gets nasty because of Annabel’s affection towards the girls. Is it a ghost or are the girls’ minds playing scary tricks on them?

Mama is directed by Andrés Muschietti and will be crawling into Australian theatres on March 14. It’s rated M for mature audiences (Australia) for its horror themes, violence and infrequent coarse language.

Check out Mama.

I was lying in bed. I looked up and there was a Red Back Spider coming down from the ceiling. I woke up and I jumped over to my husbands side of the bed screaming for him to kill the spider.. thrashing about, scared from the spider I gave him a blood nose!

There was no spider.

Apologising for the blood nose I went back to my side of the bed and didn’t sleep a wink.. scared the spider was real and not a dream!

I can’t recall the specifics of the dream, but I took a step and tripped, falling, plunging down into the depths of nothingness. I woke from this dream terrified.

Scariest dream I’ve ever had was just before going on holidays overseas for the first time and I was in a very crowded place ( imagine Time Square or similar ) and I got separated from both my kids and couldn’t find them – I was terrified, screaming and running everywhere! I bolted upright in bed and woke up with my heart beating a million miles an hour ….. very scary!

I was on a train at night and the only other passenger was old woman who was dressed witch outfit, I could see her face because it was covered by her hood. The woman is a creepy voice repeatedly called my name.
The lights on the train were dim and the train did not stop at any stations therefore I couldn’t get off.
I changed carriages but she freaked me out by mysteriously reappearing in seats near me.

The scariest dream I’ve ever had was when I was pregnant with my 3rd child, I dreamt that I had just miscarried 4 baby’s at about 16weeks two sets of twin girls and I was so sad, I gave them all names and just held them in my hands, it was aweful because for the rest of my pregnancy I was scared I would miscarry. (I have 3 healthy boys now too).

My Mum & I were Undercover Agents..
We took the bad guy back to our place after he had a car crash & I went to take a bath….
I got fully unchanged and he followed me in & threw me against the wall… And thank god I woke up.
I knew what happened in my dream and I couldn’t stop crying for a good 10 minutes.
Lucky my partner held me in his arms and put me back to sleep.
The scary part is I remember the exact layout of the house…….

My scariest dreams always involve my voice going. Whatever is happening to me I can’t scream for help, no one can hear me so no one can help me. Even if I bang on a door, the noise can’t be heard by anyone else, usually I know that on the other side of the door is a room full of people that would help me if they could but they just never know I am there.

I’m being chased by a roaring car. The sensations are so vivid – sweating, heart pounding. Moaning as I was cornered, woken by my flatmate.

Definitely the night after I saw ‘The Exorcist 2′ at the movies. I had this awful dream about never seeing the movie ever again or reading the book! There was also something about never saying the demon’s name. Be rest assured, I threw out the book and have never, ever watched the film again! Unfortunately, I can still remember the demon’s name!

As a child my favourite toy was this huge gorilla plush named amy. Then one day I started having reoccuring dreams of being chased by a gorilla in my home and trying to wrestle it so I could get free…. I stopped sleeping with my beloved amy pretty quickly!

Amy March 2, 2013 at 8:54 pm

I dreamt of being surrounded by zombies in an apocalypse. I had to smear this yellow vomit looking oozy thingy from dead zombies all over myself and act like them in order to survive

Merryl March 3, 2013 at 7:15 am

Falling. Hitting ground. Waking up screaming. Arm broken. What’s scary? If I can be hurt in a dream, can I die in a dream?
